The BBM Team is very excited to announce that we’ll be receiving a shipment of djembes this Spring 2007, direct from our good friends in Guinea, West Africa.

And, for just a short time, we’re taking a limited number of pre-orders, at a special discounted price.

What’s that you say? Great djembes for a great price?

↑ click image for larger view Whilst in Guinea this winter, we worked with some of our good friends in Conakry on creating djembes made to our exacting specs — with the right combination of quality materials (ropes, rings, wood, and skins), aesthetic appearance (with expert carving), and playability, comfort, and sound.

Our pre-sale price is $325.00 (they’ll be $375.00 for those who dilly-dallied and didn’t pre-order!).

Why should I pre-order?

Our pre-order sale gets you first dibs on one of these beauties, and at a special price, too — fifty bucks cheaper than our normal price. Our pre-order allows us to gauge how many djembes we’ll need to have shipped, and then send along the order, along with the high quality rope (hard to get in Guinea these days) to our builders in Conakry. And for the first five pre-orders, we’ll throw in a really nice djembe carrying case (see below).

HEY! How do I get in on this?

Our pre-order will only last for a short time, and to get the discounted price, along with the first-dibs rights and included case (for the first five pre-orders, see below), we’ll need to hear from you before Friday, April 20, 2007, with a Visa or Mastercard — with which you will need to fork over the pre-order price of $350.00 US.

Are the djembes any good?

Yes, we believe them to be some of the finest djembes available, and we have the utmost confidence in our builders in Guinea — who also happen to be our good friends, and with whom we love working (and playing). I received the first djembe last week, just before the Village Perk gig on March 29th, and fell in love with it. (Yeah, I’ll be keeping that one!)

Are they guaranteed?

We will personally guarantee all of these djembes to be free from defects, and to be of the highest quality. We want you to feel secure in your purchase; our reputation, and the reputation of our builders in Guinea, are on the line. We all want to earn your trust and have you tell your friends how happy you are!

OKAY! You drive a hard bargain. For our first five pre-orders ONLY, we’ll throw in a sturdy, handsome gig bag that will protect your djembe for life — at no extra cost (a $90 value).
